DKST ITB
Directorate of Science and Technology Park of Institut Teknologi Bandung (DKST-ITB) is committed to becoming an integrated center for innovation development, facilitating collaboration among researchers, students, and industry stakeholders. DKST-ITB focuses not only on research but also encourages the utilization of research outcomes to create solutions relevant to societal and industrial challenges.
Within its scope of work, DKST-ITB is responsible for formulating and implementing policies related to innovation programs, technology implementation, entrepreneurship development, business incubation, technology transfer, as well as business acceleration and development within the science and technology area. Furthermore, DKST also coordinates, monitors, and evaluates these programs to ensure their effectiveness and sustainability.
Prior to being known as DKST-ITB, this working unit operated as the Institute for Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development of ITB (LPIK-ITB). LPIK-ITB was established with the primary objective of promoting the utilization of research outcomes at ITB through entrepreneurship programs, intellectual property rights awareness, and the development of an innovation ecosystem. LPIK-ITB operated under the coordination of the Vice Rector for Research and Innovation, based on the Rector's Decree No. 104/SK/K01/OT/2010, issued on March 5, 2010.
Over time, LPIK-ITB transformed into DKST-ITB in accordance with Rector's Regulation No. 25/IT1.A/PER/2024, effective as of August 1, 2024, to enhance focus and effectiveness in innovation management. This name change reflects a commitment to being more focused and effective in managing science and technology, while also strengthening collaboration among researchers, students, and industry stakeholders. DKST-ITB aims to generate high-quality innovations that deliver a positive impact on Indonesian society and industry.
