PT. SAS Aero Sishan and ITB Sign MoU to Strengthen Defense Research and Innovation

Bandung, dkst.itb.ac.id – On Thursday, July 31, 2025, at 13:00 WIB, the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) officially established a partnership with PT. SAS Aero Sishan through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) which took place at the ITB Innovation Park Technopolis Summarecon, Gedebage.

This signing was represented by Prof. Ir. Lavi Rizki Zuhal, Ph.D., as the Vice Rector of ITB for Research and Innovation, Ir. R. Sugeng Joko Sarwono, M.T., Ph.D., as the Director of the Science and Technology Area of ITB, as well as Rasyid Ridha and Roland Wala from PT. SAS Aero Sishan.

The event was also witnessed by the leadership ranks of Kodiklat TNI AD (Indonesian Army Doctrine, Education and Training Command), including Lt. Gen. TNI Mohamad Hasan (Commander of Kodiklat TNI AD), Brig. Gen. TNI Iwan Rosandriyanto, S.I.P., M.M. (Director of Education), and Brig. Gen. TNI Taruna Jaya, S.I.P., M.M. (Director of Study and Development). Also in attendance was Ony Arifianto, Head of the Innovation Division of PT Dirgantara Indonesia (PTDI).

This MoU covers collaboration in the field of research and development of primary defense and security weapons systems (alpalhankam). This cooperation is expected to drive national defense independence through the utilization and strengthening of domestic technological innovation.
