PRIMESTeP 2026 Registration Introduces New Strategic Category in Semiconductor Field

Bandung, dkst.itb.ac.id – The Directorate of Science and Technology Area (DKST) has once again opened the PRIMESTeP 2026 startup incubation and acceleration program (Startup Incubation & Acceleration Program). This year, PRIMESTeP introduces a new strategic category in the Semiconductor field, expanding opportunities for innovators and research-based technology startups to grow and achieve global competitiveness.

PRIMESTeP is a technology innovation-based startup development program designed to accelerate research downstreaming, strengthen business models, and drive investment readiness and industrial collaboration. This program is part of DKST's commitment to building an integrated innovation ecosystem connecting academia, startups, industry, and the government.

Five Strategic Areas of PRIMESTeP 2026

In this year's edition, PRIMESTeP is opening registrations for five main areas:

1. Smart Technology and Digital Connectivity
2. Food and Health
3. Transportation Engineering and Energy
4. Infrastructure and Disaster Mitigation
5. Semiconductors (New Field for 2026)

The addition of the Semiconductor field is a strategic step to support the strengthening of the national technology industry, specifically in chip design development, hardware, embedded systems, and microelectronics-based technology.
