ITB through DKST Agrees on a Cooperation Agreement with PT Hioki Electric Indonesia, Boosting the Competitiveness of Electrical Technology

BANDUNG, dkst.itb.ac.id – Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) through the Directorate of Science and Technology Park (DKST) officially signed a cooperation agreement with PT Hioki Electric Indonesia on Thursday (7/2/2026). This strategic synergy is aimed at building a specialized Training Center facility in the field of high-precision machine and electrical testing in the ITB innovation area.

 

 

 

 

 

 

This collaborative step further emphasizes the active role of DKST ITB as the main driver in bridging campus innovation with real needs in the field. At the inauguration ceremony of the collaboration, the Director of DKST ITB, Ir. R. Sugeng Joko Sarwono, M.T., Ph.D., was represented by the Deputy Director for Regional Business Development of DKST ITB, Melia Famiola, S.T.P., M.T., Ph.D., along with the Deputy Director for Business Incubation and Acceleration, Fathiro Hutama Reksa Putra, S.T., M.Sc., Ph.D. Also attending in person from the partner's side was the Director of PT Hioki Electric Indonesia, Tisna Irawan, S.T., M.M.

 

Later on, the facility operating in the ITB innovation area is not just designed as a mere equipment testing room. The training center is prepared to become a research and engineering center for industrial-scale electrical technology.

 

Aside from the physical infrastructure development, ITB and Hioki also agreed on the implementation of a regular knowledge exchange program. A series of activities such as seminars, public lectures, and workshops will be held to sharpen the human resource expertise of each party.

 

This strategic collaboration is planned to continue for more than three years. With the operation of the joint testing and research facility, the ITB innovation area is expected to be able to produce various cutting-edge electrical technology engineering solutions. Breakthroughs born from this synergy are targeted not only to be academically tested but also to have real commercial value to boost the competitiveness of the national industry in the future.
