ITB Inaugurates Rector and Vice Rectors for the 2025-2030 Period

Bandung, dkst.itb.ac.id – Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) officially inaugurated Prof. Dr. Ir. Tatacipta Dirgantara, M.T. as the Rector of ITB for the 2025-2030 period. This inauguration was carried out by the Chairman of the ITB Board of Trustees (MWA), Budi Gunadi Sadikin, in the MWA ITB Open Session held at the West Hall, ITB Ganesha Campus on January 20, 2025.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by various important figures, including company leaders, government officials, academics, and ITB alumni. In his remarks, the Chairman of the MWA ITB expressed his hope that under the leadership of Prof. Tatacipta, ITB will continue to produce outstanding graduates who are able to contribute not only at the national level but also in the international arena.

In addition, he also expressed his appreciation to Prof. Reini Wirahadikusumah, Ph.D., who had served as the Rector of ITB for the 2020-2025 period. Under Prof. Reini's leadership, ITB successfully implemented the Tridharma of Higher Education, adapted to the challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic, and continued to develop into a more modern and innovative educational institution.

In his first speech as the Rector of ITB, Prof. Tatacipta Dirgantara expressed his gratitude for the mandate given and reaffirmed his commitment to leading ITB towards a Fourth Generation University, which is oriented towards education, research, community service, entrepreneurship, and multidisciplinary innovation.

Inauguration of ITB Vice Rectors 2025-2030

Three days after the inauguration of the elected Rector, on January 23, 2025, the Rector of ITB officially appointed and inaugurated the ranks of ITB Vice Rectors for the 2025-2030 period, namely:

• Prof. Dr. Irwan Meilano, S.T., M.Sc. – Vice Rector for Academic and Student Affairs.
• Prof. Ir. Agus Jatnika Effendi, Ph.D. – Vice Rector for Finance, Planning, and Development.
• Prof. Dr. Dea Indriani Astuti, S.Si. – Vice Rector for Resources.
• Prof. Brian Yuliarto, S.T., M.Eng., Ph.D. – Vice Rector for Research and Innovation.
• Dr. Andryanto Rikrik Kusmara, S.Sn., M.Sn. – Vice Rector for Communication, Partnership, Alumni, and Administration.

Prof. Tatacipta Dirgantara emphasized the importance of collaboration and synergy in realizing ITB as a world-class higher education institution that is excellent and independent. He also highlighted ITB's role in pioneering innovation, entrepreneurship development, as well as contributions to society and national industry.

As part of the innovation ecosystem at ITB, the Directorate of Science and Technology Area (DKST) ITB also expresses its appreciation to the newly inaugurated Rector and Vice Rectors. With this new leadership, DKST hopes that collaboration in research innovation and the development of science and technology areas will be further strengthened to support ITB's progress and provide tangible benefits to society and the nation.
