ITB Incubator Wins Award as Grade-A Incubator Institution from the Ministry of MSMEs

Jakarta, dkst.itb.ac.id – The Directorate of Science and Technology Park (DKST) ITB officially received an award as a Grade A Incubator Institution from the Ministry of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) of the Republic of Indonesia on Monday, June 29, 2026. The award was presented during the Micro Enterprise Facilitation and Protection Festival series held at SMESCO Indonesia, Jakarta, as part of the commemoration of the 2026 National MSME Day. (UMKM Indonesia).

Besides DKST ITB, The Greater Hub SBM ITB also succeeded in achieving the title of Grade A Incubator Institution, reflecting the strong incubation and entrepreneurship ecosystem built by the Bandung Institute of Technology through cross-unit collaboration.

This achievement was reached after going through a comprehensive evaluation process, including the collection of startup tenant data, partnership networks, and track records of incubation programs, up to the field verification process carried out directly at the ITB Innovation Park Ganesa. This stage aims to assess the quality of incubator governance, the effectiveness of mentoring programs, as well as the incubator's contribution in supporting the birth of competitive innovative startups.

The title of Grade A Incubator Institution serves as a recognition of DKST ITB's commitment to building a technology-based innovation ecosystem integrated with the academic world, industry, investors, and the government. Going forward, this award is expected to further strengthen DKST ITB's role in producing startups capable of creating innovative solutions, accelerating the downstreaming of research results, and providing a real impact on society and the national economy.
