Initiating Green Finance for Carbon Innovation, LPIK Invites Students to Participate in the CIIC Competition

Bandung, lpik.itb.ac.id – In an era where sustainability is no longer just a trend but a necessity, it is crucial for entrepreneurs and students to be at the forefront of this green revolution. On May 22, 2024, as a pre-event for the CIIC (Climate Impact Innovations Challenge) program, LPIK organized a webinar with the topic of Green Finance for Carbon Innovative Startup featuring Melia Famiola, S.T.P., M.T., Ph.D., a Lecturer at SBM ITB, and Aghnia Dima, representing the East Ventures team as an Environmental, Social, Governance (ESG) Specialist. This event was designed to empower and inspire a generation of innovators in creating a sustainable future.

On the other hand, the Climate Impact Innovations Challenge (CIIC) 2024 competition program is here to find the best sustainable solutions that can address the challenges of Energy Transition, Sustainable Agriculture, to Circular Economy. With a proposal submission deadline of June 4, 2024, and a total prize pool of IDR 10 billion, CIIC 2024, organized by East Ventures and Temasek Foundation, is a golden opportunity for innovators to contribute to shaping a greener and more sustainable future. This event invites all climate tech innovators to submit revolutionary ideas that can change the world.

During the webinar, Melia Famiola discussed the importance of green energy and shaping a mindset that prioritizes sustainability in business. Her works emphasize the critical role played by businesses in protecting and caring for the natural environment. According to her, adopting sustainable practices is not only beneficial for the environment but also a smart business strategy that can bring long-term success and resilience.
