Bandung Startup Pitching Day 2025: Empowering the Future with AI, IoT, EdTech, Green Tech & SDG Innovations

Bandung, dkst.itb.ac.id – Bandung Startup Pitching Day (BSPD) was held again on Tuesday (July 1) at the Freeport Building of SBM ITB, bringing together 20 early-stage startups with dozens of domestic and foreign investors. This 11th edition was initiated by five startup ecosystem drivers in Bandung: The Greater Hub SBM ITB, Directorate of Science and Technology Area (DKST) ITB, Startup Bandung, Geek Hunter, and Block71 Bandung.

The event was opened by Dr. rer. pol. Eko Agus Prasetio, S.T., MBA., Vice Dean for Academic Affairs of SBM ITB, followed by remarks from Ir. R. Sugeng Joko Sarwono, M.T., Ph.D., Director of DKST ITB, and Dr. Dina Dellyana, Head of The Greater Hub SBM ITB Incubator.

In his remarks, Dr. Joko introduced the development of two ITB Innovation Park areas located in Ganesha and Summarecon Bandung. "DKST is here as a catalyst for the growth of technology startups. We provide the ecosystem, facilities, mentoring, and strategic connections to help innovations born from universities develop and reach the market," he stated.

Dr. Dina emphasized the role of BSPD as an alignment event between the incubation process and industry needs. "University and community incubators are quite agile in mentoring startups. Through BSPD, we gain direct insights from investors and VCs. This serves as a reminder for us to continuously adjust our curriculum so that the incubated startups are ready to grow and remain relevant in the market," she explained.

This year, a total of 20 selected startups from various sectors presented their innovations to investors, with five minutes allocated for pitching and discussion. The presenting startups were: bubbME Mobile Game, Elevated Indonesia, Wattr, Agrivision, KawanBantu, Plexol, Aseta, amig.ai, EZWIFT, Parakarsa, Dago Kinematic, SopirinAja, Arutala Aksara, Serenic.ai, YourBestie, Smart AI Business Builder, Japi Edutech Indonesia, Kalorize, MooApps Agriculture Technology, and BIKI.

The investors in attendance came from various institutions such as Argor, BNI Venture, BRI Ventures, Genesia Ventures, Telkomsel Ventures, Spiral Ventures, Init-6, 1982 VC, East Ventures, Impactto, Incubate Fund, Meet Ventures, Hasan VC, and Supernova Ecosystem.

As a form of appreciation, BSPD 2025 also presented awards to four selected startups in the categories of The Most Innovation, The Best Pitch, The Most Impactful, and The Most Marketable. This year, bubbME Mobile Game, KawanBantu, Wattr, and BIKI successfully took home these awards.

With an activity model that directly connects startups with financiers and stakeholders, BSPD continues to strengthen its position as a relevant platform to support the birth of sustainable and truly impactful innovations.
